Description
Our soldering classes have been designed so that students may become comfortable and proficient using a torch. In the curriculum we cover the “how” and “why” of jewelry soldering by combining an overview of the tools, techniques and process along with plenty of hands-on practice. You can expect to learn proper metal preparation, the correct type of solder to use, set-up, safety and clean-up tips through demonstrations and practice soldering with time to fabricate a simple jewelry form.
Safety Requirements (No Exceptions):
- Closed-toed, low-heeled or no-heeled shoes
- Comfortable “play-clothes”. No flowing sleeves or bulky fabrics
- Long hair must be worn in a bun or ponytail
