Beginner Kumihimo Bracelet with Susan of Designs by SusanE


Kumihimo is a form of ancient Japanese braiding. The word Kumihimo translates almost directly into “coming together (kumi) of threads (himo)”. These techniques were often used to make ties, cording, and belts. Today the Kumihimo technique is used to create beautiful jewelry.

Using a foam disk, students will learn how to make a beaded Kumihimo bracelet. Students will also learn how to finish the bracelet.
All supplies are included in the cost of the class. Please arrive a few minutes early to choose your seed bead color. As this is a BEGINNER class, students will use only one color of seed beads in their bracelet.
